I'm back from a two-week summer sabbatical that was all about being present with my family and living in the moment. It was a throwback to my post-college travels across Europe in 1999, but this time, I had the joy of sharing the experience with my husband and kids. The first week, it was just my husband and bonus daughter exploring the beauty of Europe to celebrate her college graduation. Midway through, my teenage son joined us, making the adventure even more special. Prior to leaving (several months in advance) I made sure to communicate with my clients ahead of time, letting them know I'd be unavailable and setting up a backup system. My backup system was handled by my amazing virtual assistant and she handled any urgent matters plus checked my emails while I was away. This allowed me to fully disconnect from work and dive into every moment of our vacation - not to mention to return to work without a thousand and one emails to sift through. I am feeling grateful for the memories made and the chance to truly unplug. Here's to more moments of being present and cherishing time with family! 🌍 💙
